Excel Tip - Viewing Sheets

Do you find yourself frustrated by having to repeatedly click between two or more sheets in the same workbook?  Would you like to be able to view them all at the same time without copying and pasting into a new spreadsheet? Well here’s how you can do that quickly and easily…

  • Open the spreadsheet that contains the sheets
  • Click the View tab from the Ribbon
  • Click the New Window icon
  • Click the Arrange All icon
  • Choose a preferred layout i.e. Tiled and ensure Windows of active workbook is selected (see below picture)
  • Click OK

You will now have two Windows arranged on the screen enabling you to view different sheets at the same time. Please be assured that this process does not create two copies of your spreadsheet but instead two views - you are still working on the same workbook.
