Our Coaching Skills workshop provides managers with the confidence and toolkit to effectively know when and how to coach individuals in their team to raise self- awareness, generate responsibility, enhance confidence and improve performance.

What will I learn?

WHAT: The Definition of Coaching

  • Coaching as a role or process
  • Mentoring, coaching and counselling
  • Benefits and key outcomes of coaching

Learning Outcomes:

  • I can define what coaching is, its benefits and guiding principles

WHO: Coaching the Right people the Right Way

  • Defining for whom coaching will add the most value using the skill/will matrix

Learning Outcomes:

  • I have a tool which helps me determine the individuals in my team for whom coaching will be most valuable and how to adapt my coaching style appropriately

WHEN: The Situations in which Coaching Is Appropriate

  • Identifying coaching opportunities day to day

Learning Outcomes:

  • I can define and identify the situations in which coaching could be utilised

HOW: The Skills

  • Rapport Building – Being able to influence levels of rapport to build trust and engagement
  • Listening Skills – Developing active and deep listening skills
  • Asking questions – The art of open and ‘clean’ questions. Asking questions with purpose, influence and simplicity
  • Giving supportive feedback – Ensuring feedback has correct intention, is objective and constructive and is appropriate to give.
  • Intuition – Digger deeper, language clues and non- verbal signs

Learning Outcomes:

  • I have developed the core skills of a coach

HOW: The Tools

  • Coaching tools: Decision making tools, issue ID tool and testing assumptions tool

Learning Outcomes:

  • I have a set of tools I can use within the GROW model to help drive the Reality and Will section

HOW: The Process

  • Navigating the GROW model

Learning Outcomes:

  • I have a long list of open and clean questions that are sorted in the GROW segments
  • I have practised and received feedback on the GROW mode

How We Deliver

We currently deliver all training online to comply with the Government's guidelines.

Online training works well for businesses whose staff are mainly working from home.

It allows us to train all of your staff with the same training needs at the same time. Your people simply log on from home, using details provided in advance by our team.

Choose from Watch and Learn sessions for larger groups or interactive hands on sessions for smaller groups.

When permitted we also offer face to face training at your offices.

All sessions can be customised to a half day or 90 minute sprint session and tailored to fit your needs, covering the topic(s) within a course that are most important to your business.
